The Inner Region Report - June 2026

Welcome to the second issue of The Inner Region Report, your one-stop place for monthly Talisman news direct from us at Nomad Games! June 2026 has been a scorcher, and things inside our studio and the world of Talisman have been equally hot.

From community-requested bug squashing to a massive drop of Steam cosmetics, summer sales and Crown of Blood hitting shelves, we’ve put together everything that went down in the world of Talisman this June.

Steam Community Items are Live!

You've been asking for them for a while now, and we’ve finally locked down the checklist with Valve! Talisman: Digital 5th Edition has officially launched its suite of Steam Community Items. You can now unlock, trade, and showcase exclusive profile cosmetics just by playing, such as:

• Trading Cards: By just playing the game, you’ll unlock 7 of the character trading cards - you might even be lucky enough to get a Toad!

• 5-Tier Profile Badges: Gather a full set of cards to craft your own Talisman: Digital 5th Edition badge to display on your profile with pride.

• The Ultra-Rare Foil Badge: Want to really show off your love of Talisman? Gather a full set of foil trading cards and craft The Luckiest Roller badge!

• Chat Emoticons: Take over your Steam forums and chat by showing your alignment, your strength, craft and more! ːTalismanAlliancesː ːTalismanReaperː ːTalismanCityː

Quality of Life & Community Feedback Update

On June 15th, we deployed a fresh patch packed with fixes directly derived from your community bug reports. Thank you to everyone who flagged these over on Steam and Discord! Key fixes include:

• FixedThe Death King Rule CorrectionFixed an issue where the No Respawn rule wasn't executing properly with the Dead King expansion. Now, if you die, you die for good!
• AdjustedUI Clarity UpgradesWe've improved the overall visibility of selected squares on the board and revamped the Taxation / Sending to Jail interface to make it much easier to navigate.
• FixedController AlignmentResolved an issue where using a gamepad would prevent the Deck Browser from opening to the first card in My Collection .
• FixedCharacter & Achievement FixesFixed a roll/movement bug affecting Fang , and made sure the 'Avenger' achievement (throwing the Hag off the cliff into the Chasm) triggers correctly.

Summer Sales

Our multiplatform seasonal sale event kicked off on June 25th, and runs through until July 9th! We are slashing prices across our digital board game library here, so if your gaming group needs to fill out their expansion collection, now is the time to do it. Talisman Sagas: Crown of Blood Hits Retail!

For our physical board game enthusiasts, our partners at Avalon Hill officially released Talisman Sagas: Crown of Blood in June!

This expansion allows players to step into the boots of iconic vampire slayers like Mina Harker or Professor Van Helsing as they try to reach Dracula's Castle and defeat the Count!

In June, there was a good amount of excitement in the Talisman community, both online and offline!

Pyrkon in Poland

Did you know that Talisman is big in Poland? We do, because we can see how many of our community are Polish, but it might surprise you if you’ve not heard it before!

In June, Bob Harris (the guy who invented Talisman back in 1983!) was invited to Pyrkon, a huge Polish convention for everything fantasy. While attending, Bob played some games of Talisman, and hosted a fascinating presentation detailing the legacy of the game too!

Talisman Tavern go live with Ralph Horsley

Bob wasn’t the only Talisman legend to come around in June though, as Ralph Horsley jumped onto the Talisman Taverns live stream to talk about making some of the iconic art from the 4th Edition of the game and hang out. Well worth a watch if you want to hear a bit of insight into 4th Edition history!

Crown of Blood Unboxings and Reviews

Behind the scenes here at Nomad, we’re still working on The Dungeon Classic, our next remastered expansion for Talisman: Digital 5th Edition.

But we’re also taking a look at other ways that we can bring the 5th Edition excitement to you all, but we’re still a ways off being able to properly talk about that just yet. So watch this space!
