Talisman: Digital 5th Edition changes
The 10th annual Warhammer Skulls Festival has just started, and it’s shaping up to be the most epic week-long celebration of digital Warhammer games ever.
The festival takes place from May 21st to May 28th, and we’re adding to the excitement with the launch of a brand-new expansion for Talisman: Digital 5th Edition!
Talisman Digital 5th Edition The Dead King Breaking free of the Realm of Souls, the Dead King has emerged from the shadows to claim the Crown of Command for himself, and it will take more than simple strength to stop him. Originally released as an exclusive bonus for White Dwarf readers, The Dead King is now available digitally for the first time in Talisman: Digital 5th Edition.
In a revolutionary first for Talisman: Digital 5th Edition, The Dead King expansion introduces official support for fully solo play. This has been one of our most requested features, and we are thrilled to finally bring it to the 5th Edition ruleset.
Want to see solo-play in action? Well, lucky for you, we took to our Steam broadcast earlier today to show off the new expansion, and you can watch us try our very best against The Dead King - no spoilers if we managed to win!
Forget about AI bots or waiting for other players; playing with this expansion transforms the classic Talisman experience into a unique"Player vs. Game" survival challenge. This allows you to experience the beautifully remastered 5th Edition realm at your own pace, turning every movement and combat decision into a strategic gamble against the encroaching darkness. Whether you’re a veteran looking for the ultimate test of skill or a newcomer wanting to learn the ropes without the pressure of other players, the Dead King provides the perfect, solitary antagonist for your journey.
Whether you are playing solo or co-op, your objective is clear: Defeat the Dead King before he defeats you.
This all-new expansion features:
Dynamic Difficulty: The King of the Dead starts with Strength 10 and Craft 10, but he grows more powerful with every life lost in the realm.
The Ticking Clock: Each time a player loses a life, a counter is placed on the King's space. If he reaches his goal before you reach the centre of the board, he claims the Crown and the game is over!
Compatible with Classic Expansions: Want to mix and match your Dead King experience with any of your Classic expansions? You can do that!
