Take The Wheels! changes
Hear ye! Hear ye!
A brand new track for the Take The Wheels! demo has just dropped, and just in time for the Melbourne International Games Week (MIGW) Steam event!
"MedievalDay2" is a short, approx. 45 second track created for Pixel Expo 3 weeks ago, and as this track was the most popular of the weekend, I decided to feature it in the latest demo update! It also has the same Steam Leaderboard integration as all the other tracks, so go and set some blisteringly fast time!
There are also a few other improvements to go along with this update (mostly improvements with performance for the particles and changes to the "ready up" state for the game) and more reliable viewing of the online leaderboards in the menu.
Other than this update (and some new artwork) there has been some more "behind the scenes" work going on in the background (that isn't quite ready for reveal juuust yet) but there are more and more tracks being developed each day (both short, 30 second tracks and longer, over 2 minute tracks!) as well as more and more features! (I had plenty of "power up" item suggestions given to me at Pixel Expo, so some of those may be coming in the future! A few also floated the idea of making the car even faster!)
So keep setting those fast times! (and yes, there isn't many times currently set, but it just means you get to hold the world record for longer!)
