addedGreetings TTS Players! I wanted to share an update with you all on the state of the upcoming new version. Here is a quick rundown of some new features that I have either already implemented, or are currently working on for the next release:
addedAdded 3 new abilities that you can unlock for each of your players: Lob Ball - Allows that player to use a new Lob Boost that lets you lob the ball over your opponent; Curve Kick - Allows that player to access the Curve Kick boost; Expert Shooter - Allows that player to access the top row of targets when shooting. Also increases the odds of scoring; You will now have to specialize your players more because you cannot unlock all abilities and max out all your skill points for a single player. So you will need to choose if you want to customize a player to be a very specific role like Midfielder/Attacker.
addedCompletely reworked boosts: Removed the 8 boosts maximum use limit; You now start the game with a set number of each type of boost. Added in the new Lob Boost (that players with that Ability unlocked can use) Removing the Marking and Time boost (nobody was using them)
changedReworked the UI to make it a lot cleaner and improve the lay out;
addedAdded injury time - if the score is tied on Turn 30, a few more turns will be added to the game;
addedReworked AI to make Evil Machines more challenging. Honestly - for you pro players out there I'm sure it won't be as challenging as a human opponent, but the AI can now use boosts and abilities. I'm currently considering allowing the AI to have more player points that human players so they can have more abilities/skills...

  • Finally, I'm also adding support for the HTC Vive (VR Mode). This is going to have to be a new game (TableTop Soccer VR) - but it will cost the same ($1.99) as the original. For technical reasons its a lot easier for me to do do this as a separate binary instead of trying to add it all into the same build;

  • Bug fixes for issues that have been reported by players;

I was hoping to get this release out before Christmas, but I think now its going to be a January release. I'm hoping that I'll be able to (finally) push out the Android version as well in Jan. For anyone that was reading the last thread about that idea of making boosts more like powerups that you collect during the game, for now I decided not to move ahead with that. I'd like to see how the new abilities effect the game, get feedback from you guys - but as boosts now have a set limit, it wouldn't be hard to add that in for a future release.
