Tabletop Fantasy War changes
Today we are releasing a major update to the game's demo version, featuring a first look at the Campaign mode. Players can now explore the fantasy world of Korsak, leading the Aarbar faction in their quest for a new energy source. You will face not only the native Corx faction but also dangerous wild creatures. The Campaign mode introduces a unit progression system based on unique development trees and an experience system that awards honorifics to your unit groups. Missions take place across various game boards with specific objectives; some offer greater challenges and higher rewards. In certain instances, you must progress further in the Campaign to fully complete all objectives.
Skirmish & Multiplayer Updates
The Multiplayer Skirmish mode has also received several updates. We have improved the AI and removed or reworked features that did not meet our gameplay expectations, such as the research system and structure deployment. Conversely, conquerable fortresses now play a more significant role, providing unit upgrades and substantial terrain stat bonuses.
Player Experience Improvements:
Camera Controls: You can now pan the camera by clicking and dragging the middle mouse button (all camera controls are rebindable in the options menu).
Camera Rotation: The camera now rotates around the focal point rather than pivoting in place.
Unit Action Menu: Action menus now automatically expand all tabs and pop-ups, requiring only a single click to select an action.
- Fast MovementAdded an option to move units automatically to their destination hex, skipping the step-by-step movement animation to speed up gameplay.
- UIAdded an option to skip the "Player Turn" announcement.
Tutorial Overhaul
The tutorial has been drastically updated. It now guides players through a streamlined mission where core mechanics are learned by completing objectives. Players may now close or skip specific explanations if preferred.
New Units in the Campaign mode:
Corx Faction: Now utilizes high-resistance structures that are immune to standard attacks and must be destroyed using special abilities.
Aarbar Faction: Players can now unlock the Priest unit.
- Wild CreaturesThree distinct wild creatures have been added to Campaign missions to provide a greater challenge.
Units Balancing and Stats:
Terrain and group formations now provide higher overall bonuses to unit statistics.
Unit stats have been adjusted to achieve intended hit percentages for all combat types.
Skills and Unit Enhancements:
Several skills in Skirmish mode have been replaced.
The Campaign introduces new skills and upgrades for unit groups. Each group features a unique development tree, such as focusing on melee, ranged combat, or support roles. Additionally, new upgrades allow for increased damage against creatures or better resistance against specific unit types.
We hope you enjoy the current direction of the game. Our focus is now on the Version 1.0 launch scheduled for March 2026.
Thank you for your continued support, and we hope you enjoy the new demo content!
