Devlog #23 - The Battlefield

Not every battlefield is marked by victory.

Sometimes, it is where new legends are forged.

Today we'd like to introduce one of the most important locations in Sword & Shield Simulator — the Battlefield, a war-torn region where the conflict against the Order of the Black Swords has left behind little more than broken steel, abandoned equipment, and countless untold stories.

For most, it is a land of sorrow.

For a blacksmith, it is a treasure trove of possibilities.

From Scrap to Steel

The Battlefield is one of the primary locations for gathering resources.

Broken swords, damaged armor, and abandoned helmets can all be loaded onto your cart and transported back to your forge, where they'll be melted down in the Smelter and transformed into valuable materials for crafting.

Every battered fragment you reclaim might become the heart of your next masterpiece.

More Than Just Ruins

Though danger lurks at every turn, the Battlefield is alive with secrets.

Unusual characters await your aid, each with quests, rewards, and fragments of the world's hidden story.

The Watchtower

Standing high above the battlefield is the Watchtower, one of the few safe places in the region.

Here you'll meet Karel, a scout from Danburg, who keeps watch over enemy movements and offers additional missions to those willing to risk the journey beyond the city's walls.

Danburg's Military Camp

Not far from the front line lies a fortified camp occupied by the remaining defenders of Danburg.

Outnumbered yet unyielding, these soldiers stand firm against the relentless tide of the Order of the Black Swords.

The Pilgrim's Camp

Hidden away from the fighting is a small camp belonging to the Pilgrim and his companions.

Fleeing bandits and the horrors of war, they present a challenge unlike any other.

If you're confident with your crossbow, you can test your accuracy in a timed shooting competition.

Explore Every Corner

Curiosity is richly rewarded on the Battlefield.

Secret hideaways, rare resources, and lost treasures lie scattered for those bold enough to stray from the beaten path.

The Battlefield is far more than just another map.

It represents the true cost of war and the beginning of every weapon you'll forge.
