A quick general update on state of things
Quite a bit of effort have gone into the game lately after initial publish on steam.
A few highlights are : Graphical polish : Shadows to all ententies to provide a bit of depth in a 2d world. Background "texture" to avoid simply walking around on a black void. A few minor other things such as tiny footprints when moving and "dust" particles that move around to create a bit of texture
i have also fixed an issue where the disolve shader that was used when kiling enemies defaulted to some weird colours - everything now looks more streamlined.
Oh and there are also a bit of "leftovers" left on the play area after killing an enemy...
Early game balance: Scaling was insane early on... i made it more manageable to try and get most sessions to 10-20 mins for a good run. 4 new weapons added:
Swarm missiles, Shuriken launcher, Plasma bouncer and Railgun - that means a total of 14 weapons are now in the game! i will continue to iterate in this to ensure the weapons feel unique and hope most will be able to find a few favorties that you will be excited to see drop during a run. Attached is a small gif of the early railgun effect:
