Survive the Blackout Anniversary Edition

Six years ago, on February 6th, 2020, we released Survive the Blackout.

To be honest, we never expected to be working on the game six years later. Yet here we are. What started as our vision of a narrative survival journey through a world plunged into darkness found its way into the hands of thousands of players. Over the years, we've received countless messages, bug reports, suggestions and words of encouragement from the community. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us on this journey.

To celebrate the game's 6th anniversary, we've prepared the Survive the Blackout Anniversary Edition update focused on polishing stories, improving accessibility and making the experience better.

What's New?

Complete Proofreading Pass

Survive the Blackout is, above all, a story-driven experience. We've carefully reviewed and revised the game's text from beginning to end, fixing typos, improving descriptions and polishing countless lines of events.

Steam Deck Support

You can now enjoy Survive the Blackout on Steam Deck with improved controls and compatibility.

Steam Cloud Saves

Your progress can now be synchronized through Steam Cloud, making it easier to continue your journey across devices.

Animation Improvements

We've revisited and refined numerous animations throughout the game to make the experience feel smoother and more polished.

Bug Fixes

Various issues reported by players over the years have been addressed and fixed.

New Random Events

We've added several new events that can occur during your travels, bringing a few more surprises and difficult decisions to the road ahead.
