💡 Important Notes
With the upcoming release of Episode One on March 31st, 2026, major updates to the demo will be concluding with the release of v1.5.0 coinciding with the release day.
In the meantime, additional fixes, tweaks, and some secrets from the full episode will be making their way to the demo in upcoming v1.4.x revisions -- stay tuned!
We cannot begin to thank all of you for your support over the last few months, in addition to all the feedback and reactions we've received on the Demo and with our recent trailer. We hope you enjoy the full episode release, just as much as we have had pouring our hearts and passion into it!
🛠️ Changes
Upgraded the engine from 5.6.1 to 5.7.3.
Lumen Reflection Async Compute is also now enabled for AMD cards.
Added native support for DLSS 4.5 model presets.
Support for Multi-Frame Generation x6 will be available in a future update.
Added a Shader Compilation Screen for first-time or select future major-update launches.
There is a new button in the Settings menu to force shader re-compilation, as well.
Improved the visuals and SFX for ALL our scares (with even more to come soon!)
Added additional content to the Basement and Waterworks, from the full episode.
Some new secrets can also be found in these levels.
Improved the visuals for some ERASE Switch animations.
Improved certain player camera movements to be smoother.
Updated translations for several localizations.
Adjusted the "Unreasonable" setting for "Lumen Quality" and "Reflection Quality" to now use Hit Lighting instead of Surface Cache.
Minor lighting improvements in the Waterworks.
Misc. packaging improvements.
🔧 Fixes
Fixed being able to see out of bounds under some doors in the Basement.
Fixed a Squeeze Path in the Basement lifting the player too high into the air.
Fixed various audio warnings within the Waterworks.
Fixed an edge-case that allowed the player to fall from a lethal height in the Waterworks.
Fixed some incorrect collisions in the Basement.
Fixed an unintentional easter egg nerf in the Basement.
Fixed most cases of pickup objects having incorrect physics interactions with certain objects.
Fixed non-simulating pickup objects not being able to collide with the player.
Fixed an issue causing the Zoom Out SFX to play when entering the Basement.
Fixed an issue that could cause incorrect Footstep SFX when entering the Basement.
Fixed an issue causing certain objects to be un-usable when entering the Basement, until the player jumps.
Fixed lighting pop-in when climbing up the green slide during Childhood Memories.
Fixed one of the slides being offset in Childhood Memories, making part of it appear disconnected.
Fixed being unable to use the Tab or Arrow keys when rebinding a keybind.
⚠️ Known Issues
Crashing on launch or during gameplay for some players.
If you encounter this, please send in a crash report to our team.
Please also be sure to be as descriptive as possible in your report (When exactly the issue happened, specs, ways we can reach out to you, etc.).
Controller Support
Full controller support will be released with the full version of Episode 1.
The demo contains partial support, and we are aware of various issues with it that will be fixed when Episode 1 releases.
You may see improvements to this system in the meantime prior to the full version release.
