What changed
- UI and audio
Hi all, this patch implements some feedback and wishes from the community, as well as some further improvements. 1.0.0.2 Qualitiy-Of-Dive improvements: Technical stuff: - More FPS for everybody. Mainly through light/shadow, collision and remesh work, we now have a much better overall performance. So the only thing that should dive now is the sub and not your FPS. I also did some compatibility work, which leads to "recombining" the default and performance edition into one from now on. (you can still access the older versio via the beta-branch if you want). - Addressed a bug where a crew reported they couldn't activate the target-collection. This is now taken care of with a backup mechanic that should prevent that from happening entirely.
Gameplay stuff
For this patch I addressed the accessibility for new players and little tweaks here and there: - Added a main menu. This alone should make it more obvious that this game has a tutorial area. It also features some tips if you feel like staying in the main menu a little longer. It also features some graphic settings, which changes you can see directly in the background like detail, light and stuff. - Added a little screen message when you reached your cofffee treshould. - Added a little screen message that shows when you try to swap cups but haven't unlocked any so far. - Added a little message on the first cofffee-machine to welcome new divers with useful info. - Added and adjusted some tutorial texts in the tutorial area. - Added "Tap-Cofffee". You can find it in the WC room. - Optimized collision inside the submarine so it's now harder to get stuck within it (should be almost impossible but you never know). That's it for this patch. N ext patch
Planning to launch this within the next 4 weeks, it will implement new sounds, and even some tracks. I am also working on some hit-events where you actually have something to do when you hit the cave wall. As you may noticed, I removed the sparking effect when the sub hits the wall, but they will return soon. In addition to that I would like to implement a submarine-color customization.
