changedWe pushed this devlog just a little until we were certain Chapter 3 was 99% done and… well, here we are. We’ll be tweaking a few more things before sending it out to beta testers but it’s done and I can feel my chest tightening just typing those words out.
changedWhile there’s no updates with the GPU situation, Grogu has managed to (slowly) get everything out. And even through that, something I don’t think I’ve talked about enough before is… the fuck?!
addedNSFW content: While there’s a lot more of it in Chapter 3, again, it’s probably quite tame compared to other AVNs. One change we will be doing, however, is setting all NSFW on by default. A big reason why is… because I don’t think anyone noticed they could turn it on (we’ll be reworking the UI as well). But also, when we did Chapter 2, we did a mostly softcore scene and added explicit images afterwards, and that felt kinda… odd. Like we had changed the scene into something it wasn’t. This time, all scenes were made explicit from the beginning and right now? It feels how it’s meant to be. Here, it would feel like censoring them if we were to cut them shorter by default, and the thing with sex scenes in SoP is that they’re all telling you something about the characters, their relationship and their dynamic. Keeping some parts out would be like keeping some information hidden from the player. Am I writing a lot of shit to justify a few closeups of a blowjob or two? Maybe. Do warn your grandma about it before sharing the game with her.

I’d write a whole paragraph about how damn good this chapter looks, but I think the images speak for themselves. I thought working on the code myself would deprive me from that wonderful feeling that comes when we alpha-test it and I see all of the images together for the first time but my jaw was dropping to the floor the whole time. I’m aware I’m Grogu’s biggest fan, but I’m sure you’ll enjoy it just as much. And speaking of that…

Length: While longer than Chapter 2, Chapter 3 is probably still considered “short” for most AVN players’ standards, as is SoP in general. Please, keep in mind this is how Chapter 4 will be too, and that that one will be the final chapter as we had planned.
