addedOh, I almost forgot. There’s one particular scene with Becca which, while revising the code, felt way too rushed for my liking. This week, I will be editing that part to add some more writing I had planned for it (and then never read my own notes) which will result in more renders to be queued but it’s not a huge setback since there’s not many assets in it.
changedGrogu: I think the most important announcement I can make is that I FINALLY MANAGED TO BUY THE GPU! It was way more tedious than I expected. From the start I had mentioned we could aim for a used GPU until I could invest in a better one down the line. I didn't get it where I had originally planned but through another source, and it's arriving this weekend. The price shifted quite a bit but I managed to get it for an amount that isn't crazy. Thank you again!
changedThis week's progress was similar to last week's. These have been days where I've left the render queue running overnight for fixing clothes/textures and the last scene with Becca, and I have to say: 👀 It looks really good.
changedWhile I wasn't rendering I went back to some scenes where certain assets weren't looking right in the final render, and I realized something… I think I hate some of these scenes. It's wild how your perception of things changes once you come back to them after a while. My excuse is that there are two scenes where I feel this way, and it's because I worked on them during the period when my PC was going back and forth between working and not. But this doesn't mean I'm going to start remaking renders at this point, unless it's something very specific like texture issues or clothing problems, etc., like I said before.
changedEven though the GPU will arrive later than we planned, full production on the remaining renders will start again after I get it and hopefully still aim for a late June release.
changedGizmo: So, is it still a realistic date? Eh, who's to say. We are a little behind render-wise but I’ve seen Grogu shit out complete scenes in a matter of days in the past, and at least now I’m on the code as well. I’d dare to say maybe the fifth week of June instead of the fourth if all goes well, but we’ll be more certain of it by next week with the GPU. To be honest with you, I’ve just re-read Grogu’s part and mine and realized we’re incurable perfectionists, but we’ll still try to get it out before we can’t get out of the forever-wanting-to-tweak-things zone.

Hello, Strangers! Happy Pride Month to those who celebrate!
First of all, thank you so much to everyone who has engaged in the comments in our last few posts. You guys have given me a lot of ideas I’d like to write about in some behind-the-scenes articles, and we always enjoy reading your comments and sharing them between the two of us.
So, we’re supposed to be releasing the Early Version of CH3 by the end of June. Is that still realistic? Let’s see.
From my side, I was fortunate enough to stumble upon one of those crazy adrenaline rushes you get after you’ve been sick for a while and finished all my writing tasks from the previous week and this one, so I’m moving on to coding some extra stuff that’ll make our lives easier in the future.

Now, from Grogu… actually, let me get him real quick.

We hope you have a great week and, as always, feel free to ask any questions (this time I’ll even let you ask for spoilers) and I will be reading you and replying as much as I can.
