Over the past months, we’ve been fully focused on development, pushing the game forward and bringing it closer to completion. This required our full priority and attention, but now, we’re ready to return to more regular updates and give you a clearer look at where things stand.

What We’re Currently Working On

UI / UX Improvements

Right now, a major part of our work is focused on UI/UX clarity and overall readability.

We are improving:

  • overall interface clarity

  • battle readability

  • map visibility

  • how information is presented to the player

From a pure readability perspective, this is one of the most important stages of development. Systems are already there – now we’re making sure players can actually understand them quickly and naturally.

The goal is simple: Make every decision clear, fast, and intuitive.

So instead of adding new layers of complexity, we are refining what already exists and making sure everything feels consistent and easy to read.

Quality of Life

We are also heavily focused on quality-of-life improvements across the entire experience.

This includes:

  • smoother interactions

  • better feedback for player actions

  • reducing unnecessary friction

These may seem small changes on paper, but in practice they have a huge impact on how the game feels moment to moment.

A lot of this work is iterative – testing, adjusting, and refining based on internal feedback and player expectations.

Campaign & Maps

In parallel, we are refining content:

  • campaign missions

  • map balance and pacing

  • scenario missions

This includes both gameplay and narrative flow. We want each mission to feel intentional, properly paced, and worth playing – not just “complete”.

Current State of the Game

The core systems are complete. The content is in place. What mostly remains is the hardest part: polish.

That is the most demanding stage, where we spend a lot of time on quality-of-life improvements, balancing, and small adjustments that collectively make a huge difference.

Most of this work will also be driven directly by feedback – both internal and from the community.

Looking Ahead

We’re planning to share more updates as we hit upcoming milestones. Future Dev Diaries will include more detailed, case-by-case breakdowns of what we’re improving and why certain decisions have been made.

We’ve also been closely following community discussions over the past months and are gathering the most common questions into a dedicated FAQ, coming soon to give you more insight into the game.

In the meantime, keep sharing your thoughts and questions on our Discord: we’re listening!

And of course, don’t forget to wishlist Stormbinders so you don’t miss upcoming news.
