Let’s talk about flying fortresses!
Flying fortresses are your primary units on the global map. They allow you not only to explore the world but also to engage enemies in dramatic aerial battles.
In addition to animating unit models, we’ve fully animated every flying fortress — something many players felt was missing in the first Stones Keeper.
Let’s start with one of our favorite castles — the Orc castle. Here’s a look at it in motion:
The Chaos Lord’s castle — the one you’ll command in the main campaign — is just as impressive. Don’t forget to upgrade its defenses, artillery, and protective fields. Enemies will absolutely try to bring you down in aerial combat.
One of your key rivals will be Princess Elizabeth. Her castle from the first game has been completely redrawn and animated. She’ll be a formidable foe in the skies, but the workshop offers upgrades that make ground assaults easier — such as artillery strikes or additional payload drops.
And we couldn’t resist showing you the castle of our new faction — the Forest Spirits. This faction plays a major role both narratively and gameplay-wise. Even now, we can say they possess a wide array of unique abilities, including powerful healing, making their playstyle truly distinct.
Don’t forget that each major faction will be fully playable in the sandbox mode, where your objective will be either to defeat enemy flying fortresses or to capture the Chaos Ruins.
See you soon!
