Stella Incus changes
Huge shout out to Jackofblade99 for his play-test and review! Here is all points responded to with a new update ! 1. invisible walls that when you touch at a certain point makes the fires vanish
Increased fire draw distance to 3000 units. Was 800 before. Should not see any invisible walls within the size of a room.
2.the fire extinguisher does and doesn't work with all the particle effects and spinning around you made is so you have no idea what you are spraying at Added Cursor while holding fire extinguisher to clearly show where you are aiming. Improve Extinguisher effect to look better. Now uses foam instead of water.
I kept getting flung out of the level into random spots then coming back inside a fire While spraying the extinguisher if you reach 100% pressure the force will launch the player. This is now clearly telegraphed with the new pressure bar at the bottom of the screen. Try to release left click before this is full, if you do not want to be flung around!
a dance button on right click was not helpful All dancing removed. From earlier prototype.
5.the game stutters and freezes when moving the camera lags hard when moving and using the extinguisher was kind of a nightmare even on lowest graphics settings Improved effect to use less particles and provide better experience.
when booting up my anti virus flags shopper.exe Determined root cause as Ready Player Me Load avatar in character blueprint, at begin play attempts to load character skin from website. Previously, was downloading 1 mb "glb" file to make you look like scientist. Now, file is packed with game, and shouldn't ask for any network access.
picking up and dropping items is incredibly hard also switching through said items ? wasn't aware I had a flashlight and an axe that I couldn't put away or swap from once they appeared in my hands Improved player interaction component, now will automatically swap tool with another if currently holding something. Before, was designed to reject all interactions and required player to manually drop item with G. The player has powers and can summon 2 items once found. These are locked at flashlight and axe for the demo. You will have to transport any other main items in your carry slot.
8.jumping causes hard lag and frame drops I now have the character loaded in with the game instead of downloading. I tested some jumping and couldn't find anything that looked out of place, so lets hope that fixes the jumping frame rate loss.
were the spinning bits in the room surrounding npcs supposed to be walk through when you do the game lags and frame drops
Those items now have correct collision mesh and you will not be able to pass through them anymore.
making it through the door your supposed to go through has and doesn't have invisible fire sometimes it shows sometimes it doesn't. either way its impossible to put out because of the extinguishers effects and spinning movement I cleaned up some invisible fire issues, where if a fire was spawned above your head, it could potentially hit you from through the floor. The collision boundaries are now a little bit tighter, it will also be much more clear where you are aiming to make sure fires actually get put out.
11.sometimes the extinguisher works sometimes it doesn't when I dropped it it wouldn't stop going off and it crashed the game
The extinguisher performance, effects and cursor have all been reworked. You shouldn't experience any more issues there.
I never got to test out any of the jumping or puzzles because you cant make it past the start when you go through the glass door you just get teleported back to start I added a new widget that should clarify why you are being warped back to the starting point. Right now there are 2 conditions, green bar ( Integrity ) reaches below 20%. And Player Height reaches below a floor z height. You should carefully inspect the tunnels with a flashlight if you are looking to reach the next area! Look for things that might lead to higher elevation!
