Statecraft: Corrupted Democracy changes
What Changed:
Demoralize can now only be used in regions where your own ideology is the majority.
When used, it heavily lowers all rival parties' relations with your core group by 15 (up from 5).
- (NoteAI bots will temporarily not use this action while we test the new design)
Why It Matters: Fully converting and holding a region now has real strategic value. Once a region is your stronghold, you can actively push rivals out of your base and stop them from siphoning votes that should stay loyal to you
The Road Ahead (R&D): A huge shoutout to Adam /b/ for their deep dive into the vote distribution math. They correctly pointed out that our current linear vote formula causes high-relations parties to leak too many votes to rivals with merely "okay" relations. They suggested a brilliant weighted (power-law) formula for a more realistic model.
Since changing the core math right now would break the AI decision-making and the tutorial, I've added their exact formula to my long-term R&D roadmap. Today's Demoralize rework is the first immediate step toward that vision.
Thanks for the sharp feedback — it genuinely makes the game betterz<3
