Tweaks & updates

  • The aurora effect when zoomed into a planet has been redone

  • Telepopping items now looks more fun in the UI

  • Gas giant generation has been redone

  • Added yard rollers (essentially tile blockers so materials accumulate where you want them)

  • Islands generate less predictably on lithrogen planets now

  • Station & salvage yard floor colour is now variable between entities

  • Planet ports now show the correct soil colour in 3D

  • Planet ports have had a few extra details sprinkled around

  • More than doubled the number of things NPCs can say

  • Space and enter can now be used to enter systems, entities & docks

  • Reshuffled the municipal building placement a bit

  • Futons are now restocked at stations

  • Walls indicate which tiles they'll join to when building

  • Soil colour logic for non-planets is now more consistent

  • Various cosmic database updates

  • Various texture updates

  • Various UI text tweaks

  • Bar patron species on homeworld ports is now not random

  • Comets no longer change their orbits if entities are destroyed in a system

  • Linked addons and components now show a line between them in engineering

  • After blowing your zipship up, your new ship will now start at the space centre

  • The energy funnel interface now shows the type of power source available

  • Your zipship shows up better in the tutorial if over a white tile now

  • The shop pricing table is now drawn using cleaner ASCII

  • Stiff fibres now have a different tile appearance to chronc ore

  • The cosmic database on the website now matches the in game database closer in appearance

  • The transmission marker now resets when you zoom out to the cosmos overview, so it's less easy to miss something pointing you somewhere

  • Add beeboop, vectron & lintorian pictures to database

  • All flashing arrows for interfaces, flipping planets around, transmissions pointers & docks now flash the same colours for consistency

  • Overlapping system names in the cosmos overview are now easier to see

  • Added the actions each crew position can perform to the cosmic database

  • Shop cargo now shows a similar preview to contaminated canisters

Bugs fixed in this version

  • Fixed flickery render errors on the bridge when reading the entity history

  • Fixed missing signs next to ports on homeworlds

  • Fixed planet/sun being massive for 1 frame when loading into a cosmos

  • Fixed ratto starting conditions to say "No oracot seeds"

  • Fixed stars showing through ship windows when on a planet port

  • Fixed auroras happening on star types where they couldn't occur naturally

  • Fixed icecaps not rendering on unlit planets

  • Fixed ship components still being damaged after blowing up and respawning
