Star Wrath changes
Each wanderer knows that they have only themselves to count on in the most distant corners of the solar system, where something valuable can still be found. Being ill prepared for a flight can affect not just the amount of resources you may bring back, but also the condition of your ship, if you even manage to preserve it to the end of an expedition.
To overcome sudden difficulties and threats, it is very important to always check that your ship is equipped with all possible expendable supplies. In this article, we’ll talk about the consumables that are currently available to you.
Just as with the ammunition, consumables can be acquired in a number of ways: by producing them in the workshop or by getting them as loot after a battle.
Rescue pods
Rescue pods turn the apparent destruction of the ship into a chance at survival. Even in the most dire moment, you will have an opportunity to save yourself and an amount of precious resources.
The rescue pod allows the pilot to continue fighting for survival after the ship is destroyed, reach the gate, and leave the combat zone, saving their life and some of their resources.
Ammunition
The most important type of supplies on your ship is ammunition, directly supporting your main instrument of defense or retaliation: your weapons.
Each type of weapon requires its own ammunition:
20mm bullets for light weapons, like machines guns and autocannons;
120mm shells for heavy weapons;
Plasma cartridges for light plasma weapons;
Plasma units for heavy plasma weapons;
Rockets for launchers, both guided and unguided.
Don’t forget to replenish your ammunition supply before each flight: if you suddenly run out in the middle of a battle, the likelihood of losing your ship will increase dramatically.
Consumables
Consumables directly affect your ship and its systems or provide certain advantages. Each type of consumable has a standard and an upgraded, more powerful version. Two types of consumables can be installed on a ship, within a certain limit for each.
At the start of the CBT, the following consumables will be available to you:
“Remaster” repair kit
Restores hull durability and structural parts durability
“Battery” energy pack
Restores the ship’s shield
“Ion” supercharge
Increases shield restoration speed
“Resistor” power resupply
Reduces incoming damage to shield
WS “Load up”
Reduces modules reload time for a short period
“O-Flight” mixture
Reduces the amount of energy required for afterburner and acceleration, increases maximum speed, but disables weapons while active
“Firefly”
Upon activation, releases heat traps that deter homing missiles
“Tick-tock” explosive
Upon activation, drops an explosive that detonates after a short time and deals damage to enemy ships within a small radius
