As Steam Next Fest is starting soon, I decided to push out the first update for the Spud Keeper demo.
This update is mostly focused on improving the overall presentation and feel of the game. I redesigned and improved the main menu, added a proper loading screen, improved the potato plant game feel, and made a bunch of smaller visual and usability changes.
There is still a lot I want to improve, especially the menus, Spud Shop, Tool Shed UI, environment, beetles, and smashing tools. This update should make the demo feel a bit more polished, and the next updates will focus more on making the gameplay loop more interesting.
I pushed this update literally at 3 AM, so hopefully something is not totally broken. If you try the demo, feedback would be very helpful. You can leave feedback using the new Feedback button in the main menu.
