We are in a hurry to tell you some good news and show new assets!

1. ･:*Midwinter spirits:｡☃︎𓏲ּ

This winter, the ghostly desktop world of SPRKLS.exe has been invited to a very special corner of Steam - the Midwinter Spirits festival, a seasonal showcase of games about spirits, magic, and strange, cozy adventures.

So now our game, full of ghosts, broken windows, and mysterious secrets, is on the festival page next to witches, frogs, magicians, and other suspicious creatures.

Honestly, this might be the most suitable environment for SPRKLS.exe.

Huge thanks to Ivy Juice Games for the opportunity to find our place on Steam during this mysterious time between Halloween pranks and cozy winter holidays.

2. ⏻ SPRKLS.exe Playtest˖⌕ ۫ . . . ﹫

These long winter evenings are the perfect time to disappear into warm gaming, so we decided this is the right moment to actually let you into SPRKLS.exe.

We’ve opened sign-ups for the Steam Playtest: a small, guided slice of the game where you can walk the digital streets, meet a few mysterious characters, break a couple of windows, feel the atmosphere of this city, and learn how to distinguish system bugs from planned glitches.

To take part, simply request access from the Playtest section on our Steam page.

3. ⋆.ೃ࿔*:･Your favorite places ꫂ❀࿐

The world behind windows changed a bit, to make it even more enjoyable to break. We’ve redrawn several background locations, keeping their original mood, but adding more depth, light, and tiny details that make the city feel more lived-in (or… un-lived-in, in a ghost situation).

The room finally looks like the place where someone stayed up playing SPRKLS.exe closed playtest until dawn.

4. ⏯⋆˙⟡Strong spirit cast˚ ༘ ೀ⋆.˚

Poetic places always need their own inhabitants.

Two new characters quietly claimed their windows in SPRKLS.exe. This mysterious stranger runs an open-air cinema, and she looks like she’s escaped from a noir movie, doesn’t she?

Skeletrock had been complaining for a very long time that nothing was being poured in his favorite bar, SPUTNIK. Now he says he’s never tasted such a delicious CosmOSpolitan. These bartenders know their stuff: even if their sharp jokes might scare you off at first, you can still trust them with your secrets. So what are we doing tonight - sneaking into the cinema or stopping by for a cocktail?

5. ˚₊·—̳͟͞͞♡Real emotional overload(⸝⸝๑﹏๑⸝⸝)

Sparkls has always been emotional, but now we’re barely keeping up with her. New expressions, new reactions - maybe she’s growing up. (Do ghosts even know how to grow up?)

Now she doesn’t just get excited, she can pause to think about events that matter to her, worry when something feels off, and even feel genuinely sad. So try not to upset her, okay?

This desktop is already unstable enough.
