Update Notes

This update focuses on improving gameplay flow, controller support, UI clarity, and rebalancing the Passive Buff system. Existing upgrade points have been refunded automatically and can be redistributed in the Armory.

Gameplay & Balance

  • Reworked all Passive Buffs. Existing upgrade points have been refunded and can now be redistributed in the Armory.

  • All Passive Buffs now use fixed activation chances, making low-level upgrades more valuable throughout the game.

  • Defense Cannon has been nerfed.

  • Arcade and Endless Mode now use the same spawn behavior as Campaign Mode for a faster-paced experience with more action.

  • Added moving walls to the Secutor boss fight.

  • Players can now retreat from a run directly without returning to the main menu, making the Armory more accessible between attempts.

  • The first level no longer allows respawning.

  • Power-ups can no longer be activated while respawning.

User Interface & Quality of Life

  • Tooltips no longer clip into the bottom of the screen.

  • The Play button now changes to "Continue" once a game has been started.

  • Improved navigation behavior of the global Back button.

  • Opening Settings now defaults to the Game Settings tab.

  • Restart is now available after completing a level.

  • The final level no longer displays a "Next Level" button.

  • Active Power-ups now feature a dedicated UI effect.

  • Remaining Power-up duration is now displayed directly on Power-up icons.

  • Selected UI categories now have a silver highlight.

  • Difficulty completion icons are now displayed on level buttons.

  • Improved readability of level button designs.

  • Rearranged UI sliders for better usability.

  • Audio, Look Speed and Zoom Speed sliders now display numerical percentage values.

  • Added a notification informing players when refunded upgrade points are available.

Audio

  • Added three new soundtrack tracks: Neptun, Transzendenz, Lumen

  • Added an audio cue when starting the next wave early.

  • Fixed an audio issue with the Plasma Power-up.

  • Continuous sound loops (such as missiles and lasers) now stop correctly when the game is paused.

Controller Support

  • Added controller rumble support.

  • Adjusted gamepad look sensitivity.

  • Fixed incorrect PlayStation 4 button prompts.

  • Added PlayStation 5 controller support.

Bug Fixes

  • Apocalypse Beam now stops correctly when respawning.

  • Laser Arena lasers now stop correctly when respawning.

  • Apocalypse Beam and Laser effects now stop when the game ends.

  • Void Engines in "The Void" now return to full power after respawning.

  • Power-up rotation is now synchronized with The Void arena.

  • The Void now resets its rotation after player respawn.

  • Fixed a crash that could occur when Meteoroids ended a run while a specific enemy was stunned or confused.
