changedCore game updates All aspects of the current retail release have been fully updated, with improved visuals, camera, controls and more exciting racing to truly bring classic arcade racing to your screen. Feel more speed, more control and more rivalry.
changedA significant rework of the opponent AI drivers means more of a challenge and less learner drivers in high powered race vehicles on the track with you, more skill and perseverance will be needed to best these drivers!
changedCar handling has been improved, with a more dynamic camera to keep you in the action and on the edge of your seat.
addedNew Content Championship mode arrives! Qualify and race against your opponents to earn points and determine who is the real champion. The initial launch of Championship mode presents the first 4 championships to test your skill across, featuring new unseen tracks. Each race earns points for your performance. Only the best will lift the trophy, will you be one of them? Version 0.5 will contain the first 4 out of 20 Championships, with more to follow very soon. New Tracks Championship mode contains an additional 28 tracks, not seen in the Arcade Mode, the first of which will be accessible in V0.5 New Cars The first additional car class will be available, the Super Karts. Development continues apace! We’re looking to bring more tracks (via additional Championships), more car classes (Stock Cars, GT Race cars and some special vehicles) in future updates.

We are very aware that 0.5 has taken a very long time to see the light of day, there has been so much going on and many challenges that were needed to be overcome during its development, but it is almost here! And we have refined our upcoming releases to get SPGP to full release in the best shape possible. The next three updates are planned for much shorter timeframes.

Version 0.6 – (1st quarter of 2026) - Will introduce more championships, more tracks and more cars, whilst refining and improving what has arrived in 0.5 already. In addition to this a planned overhaul of the localisation throughout the game to make sure our non-English speaking players get the full SPGP experience.

Version 0.7 – (Mid to late 1st Quarter 2026) - More of the championships made available before launch, combined with polish and updates to the visuals and UI.

Version 1.0 – (Spring 2026) - The full release! More polish and all of the championship and tracks available.
