New Spells:
In version 0.2 the game had 38 different unique spells the player could acquire. For version 0.3 the total number of different spells has increased to 85.
Since the next patch will mainly focus on rebalancing the game and finishing the core mechanics to bring it to its full release, there probably won't be any more spells until then.
Additionally some spells from the previous version have been reworked.
New Traits:
With so many new spells, it was an obvious decision to also include new traits. There are a total of 4 new elements and 4 new schools to empower yourself with in the battlefield.
New Spells aren't exclusively ones with new traits which means that there's now a bigger variety of combinations to use.
All traits were also reworked to function a bit differently now. Every trait has an attunement scaling, which usually increases their power (depends on trait).
When hitting higher threshholds, a trait increases its base power, its scaling and additional secondary stats.
New Items & Stats:
There are around 40 new Items, altering your stats in many different ways. Additionally there are 2 new primary stats: Health Regen and Lifesteal.
Alongside these new primary stats, there are new advanced stats, which can also be viewed in the shop screen. Among those there are stats such as Price Reduction, Knockback, Spell Duration etc.
Spells now also have 4 indicators in the shop, showing whether they scale with certain stats.
Projectile Speed:
Spells with this indicator gain travel speed through the new advanced stat Projectile Speed.
Range to Size:
Spells with this indicator gain size the more range you have.
Spell Duration:
Spells with this indicator gain duration through the new advanced stat Spell Duration.
Knockback:
Spells with this indicator have knockback and gain knockback through the new advanced stat Knockback. (Spells of the Air Element naturally don't have knockback, but only gain it through their element once activated)
New Characters:
There are 4 new Characters in this version, each with a new unlockable item.
Some of the older characters where sligthly reworked, they will still see changes in the future though.
Shop Rework:
The shop now functions a bit differently, mainly the way the game presents spells and items to the player.
There's a slightly higher chance for spells to appear in shop, rather than items.
Spells now also have a chance to be a spell the player already has in their inventory. Additionally spells with similar traits to those the player owns have a higher chance to appear.
Certain characters now have a higher chance to find items beneficial to them.
Hard Mode:
In character select there is now the option to toggle Hard Mode. In hard mode enemies have increases health and damage and prices in the shop get more expensive as the game goes on.
Beating hard mode currently doesn't unlock any items/achievements, but rewards the player with a dragon medal on the character select screen.
Other Changes:
-Character description can now be seen in shop. -Book unlock prices are now fixed. -Rewrote a lot of descriptions. -Added color indicators on spell stats. -Changed the way armor functions overall (Damage reduction shown in shop if hovered over) -Several balance changes. -Several bug fixes.
