Hello citizens, here's another update for the Demo! Accessibility Options Difficulty Selection - you can now find a difficulty selector in the game options. You can change difficulty at any time, but beware!

addedDifficulty Selection - you can now find a difficulty selector in the game options. You can change difficulty at any time, but beware! Playing a level at a lower difficulty than Classic will remove the elegibility for leaderboards (only for that level run). Switching to a lower difficulty during a level run will suspend the elegibility to the leaderboards.
changedWorkbench - Skin Unlock (Demo)
addedAdded availability to use the Workbench in Spanky's Hub. Added a first version of the skin unlock system. As of now, the skin customization system will be divided in 3 categories: Ears, Body, Shoes. Included in the demo the first story "based" alternative skin set: Mausoleum . Defeat DJ Cobweb in The Afterlife to unlock the skin parts at the workbench.
addedDialogues were ugly looking. I made them a bit more interesting. We'll add an accessibility option for dyslexic people to turn off the conic effect on the lines of dialogue.
addedI added a simple countdown timer at the start of platforming levels to allow people to prepare for their run.

DifficultyDescription
ClassicThe way we intended the game to be played. Full inputs, all rhythm mechanics. Levels completed in this difficulty are elegible for leaderboards.
EasyRhythm mechanics are active, but are all tied to a single input. Easier, but still requires some music sense.
Baby BatYou hate rhythm games, and that's ok. One input for each action, and no rhythm mechanics. The most casual game mode, pure platforming.

Level Countdown

I added a simple countdown timer at the start of platforming levels to allow people to prepare for their run.

Bugfixes

  • Language Selector in the Settings now correctly displays ideogram based labels before selecting the language.

  • Fixed some UI navigation paths not working

  • Fixed UI navigation for selectors using the controller

  • Fixed a graphical bug deforming spanky while on a moving platform

  • Fixed a bug where Marrow looked headless after the completion of the ribs quest.

  • Fixed some animation transitions on Spanky.

Tweaks

  • Spanky now can't activate windlasses using the bounce.

  • Improved the look of the new Outline Shader.

  • Now UI panels play a short slide in and out animation when opened and closed.
