Meet The Knights: Goberto and Dulahan

INTRODUCING GOBERTO OF NAONED

“Hello, Your Grace. My name is Goberto.

Forgive me, but I heard you were a lonely fellow when you arrived at the Tower. No kin. No companions. You must feel terribly empty? My heart aches for you, for my family is one of the greatest treasures in all the realm. I wish you had more folk to fill your days, to laugh with and feast with. Perhaps I can be one of them?

Anyway, I am determined... neigh, destined to make a name for myself in the kingdom of Brizh. For I am Goberto, a loyal knight of steel with a sword ready to clash, slash, bash and smash! I swear I shall be a splendid addition to your court of swords. Just point me at the danger and I shall gallop toward it.

Why did I come here? Ah! The herald said you needed help with monsters and strange creatures. Well, Your Grace, you are in tremendous luck, for slaying wild beasts is my special specialty. Trolls, dragons, giant spiders, furious goats, blood-thirsty chickens. You name it and I can bring it down. If it moves, jumps, squawks, squeaks or snarls, I can finish it for you.

As for my dreams, I have but one grand wish. To fight in the Great Tournament of Almor! To hear the roaring crowds thunder my name across the arena. “GO-BER-TO! GO-BER-TO!”. Oh! Just to be thinking of it makes my stomach flutter.

If you do me the honour of welcoming me at your court, my sword will be yours.”

“Hello, Your Grace. Yet another Knight is here, waiting to join your court. His name is Dulahan and he has been standing incredibly awkwardly, like he’s trying to continuously balance himself on the perfectly even floor?"

INTRODUCING DULAHAN, THE HUMAN

“Greetings... Sovereign. I am... Dulahan. A Knight. A human one. Totally organic. I possess lungs, eyes and a spinal column. I want to be... yours.

To prove my human identity to you, I have successfully identified all the boxes containing... hay in the room over there. That is what a human made of meat would do... isn’t it? Sort and organize, sort and organize.

I also enjoy many human pastimes. For example... blinking. I do it constantly. Sometimes even twice per hour. Yes... look, watch me blink the lids of my eyes. Yes... very relaxing.
