Hype for Yulan

Greetings Wielders!

We are now less than a week away from the release of Yulan, our upcoming faction DLC. After all the work that has gone into it, it’s nearly surreal- not really, but close.

So today I thought we would keep things simple and show off some new screenshots from the faction and its campaign. Is it because we are still very much busy working, so I don't have time to write something more in-depth? Sure, it is, but screenshots are a good excuse, and I want to show them off.

Over the past months I've talked a lot about mechanics, Essence choices, units and maps, but sometimes pictures do a better job than text. Yulan has been a big project for us and we’ve put a lot of effort into making the faction feel different both visually and mechanically.

Depending on your chosen Essence, buildings change appearance, armies develop in different ways, and the faction can play very differently from one game to another. We’ve also spent a lot of time on the environments and atmosphere around Yulan itself, trying to give it its own identity within the world of Songs of Conquest. But you know all of this already. Of course, screenshots only show part of it. In one week you’ll finally be able to play it yourselves and revel in all those beautiful pixels.

Until then we’ll keep polishing, balancing, and fixing the last remaining issues before release. And here our testers deserve a special shout-out; without them, all those issues wouldn’t be found.
