Changelog

  • Losses in combat now actually kill your manpower

  • Civilian/Military losses reduce stability through increasing war exhaustion

  • AI bordergore behavior reduced

  • AI less likely to form large organizations

  • AI more likely to increase education spending

  • You can give money to AI to build buildings autonomously for you

  • Units can now be saved to templates and conformed to templates easily

  • Bug fixes

  • You can now destroy the biosphere of planets like Earth by nuking them too much

  • You now lose reputation for nuking people and generally being aggressive

  • AI will more aggressively coalition people that have bad reputations

  • Colonization time now varies more based on region size and manpower allotted, but is generally slower, especially for interstellar objects.

  • Regional consolidation reversed

Annoying Bug

I have been tracking an optical bug that happens every 15-45 minutes. It is a one-frame flash on your screen. I cannot seem to figure out what is causing it, so if anyone encounters the bug and has any information please report it.

Future work

I am unsure of which kinds of mechanics would be the best for the future, as it seems to me that adding too many more mechanics will result in bloat. For the following reason, I am making a poll on our discord where you can give me your thoughts on what mechanics would be advisable for 0.17.

Some of the mechanics I am working on are:

  • Mission Trees (tied to situations)

  • Religion (culture mechanic duplicate)

  • Military Improvements (More superweapons, air empowerment, boarding in space, special forces, etc)
