Happy June, everyone! I don't know how it is for y'all, but it's starting to get quite hot, at least where I live. One could say it's shaping up to be a...very beautiful June.
...I GOTTA title drop at least two more times, so forgive me.
Oh, and happy Pride Month, too! Forgot that was in June, not gonna lie.
To celebrate, hm....Did you know that Mika is aroace? And Zodi is gay, if that wasn't obvious enough. Cool stuff.
Man, it was a packed month for me! I went to Miku Expo, I got back into Morimens (great game, by the way), and I also saw The Backrooms movie in theaters. If you want MY personal opinion on it, it was good. I think they spent too much time on the exposition and especially on the therapist character. I did not care about her for how much time they put into her.
Besides that though, it was fun. The sets were definitely the highlight of the movie.
And my month, too, was very fun. I got some nice work in on Snow • Fall, and I had a good time. Ain't that what life's all about?
I, uh...I may not have gotten much INTERESTING done, but I got something done nonetheless.
It was a technical month, alright? Not everything is sunshine in rainbows. This is gonna be a shorter devlog.
Before that, I wanna say that I showed off a lot more in the Discord! If you're realllly interested in this game, come and join us!
Our main Product artist just made us some emojis & stickers. We even got to server level 1! How nice!
But enough shilling. Let's begin.
Zodi in Station Downer uniform. There are rocks in the pouch that act as fuel for their staffs. "What a warm outfit. Nice for sleeping in..."

Okay~! First of all, let's start with the things I did, then let's finish off by detailing what has to be done before this update releases to the public.
To begin with, I did a lot of work on our main girl Caiyin. I finished her Distortion gimmick, and I got Glacial - Vibe working. The rest of her just includes implementing her sound effects and voice lines, which are kind of huge pain!
There doesn't seem to be a convenient way to check the currently playing track using my language. Instead, I'll have to cross reference the raw information of a Node. Not difficult, just annoying enough for me to want to put off.
But besides that, she looks like a very cool character! I gotta do a couple of runs myself, but I'm very excited to see how people use her!

Along with that, I also got the event screen revamped and looking a LOT better. You can definitely tell with the last one, but I lowkey just spat that out without really trying. This is the first UI change that I have personally done, and I'm verry happy with how it turned out!
How nice! How beautiful! Really showcases the art.
Ah, the artist that does these got busy with moving into a new house. I'm very happy for them, but it's a little unfortunate timing, at least for me. It means there's a chance that all the events won't have art by August.
Worst comes to worst, I'll just have a generic background in the others. Out of everything, I am NOT delaying the update for events.
Besides that, I was working on the concept for reworked Misery Gravedigger, and once again, updating enemy Cube Art and sprites to fit with the new system. I finished Station Glass earlier this week, and now every one is updated!
Now, let's list off everything else I have to do (in no particular order)
-Update the shop to work with the new passive list -Venom Caiyin -Implement the new health bar texture -Finish & implement the new UI for the Droplet Queue bar, turn counter and status indicator -Update the Love & Hate effect of each unit to work with the new Cubes -Update the character select screen to fit with the new passive list -New transition screen for events and Paths -Finish the Products, finish the Cubes, finish the Dreams/challenges -New Paths for Sentiment and Burn -New Paths for ??????? (maybe) -Balance changes and bug fixes from hell
And done!
...That sure is a lot, huh...
I gotta pick up the pace. Those of you who know me know that I HATE delaying an update, more than anything! If I smile and grit my teeth, I can output the work of 100 people!
Seriously though, I know I could have accomplished more, so I really intend to do more work next month. It's June, after all! What kind of dev would I be if I didn't work on the game during June.
...Oh, and uh, add these fellas to the list of things I gotta do. No April goes without a fool in this household!

Product • Showcase
...And that's it. Yeah, straight to the Product Showcase.
Firstly, here's Caiyin\'s Product and its alt! I don't have much to say, but I think the game could use a little more Products that increase max HP.
And here are the Cubes! Shotgun Shells is pretty interesting, but ironically enough pretty questionable on Zhu Haoyu. You're better off just playing Reload.
Ah, and speaking of Zhu, I was thinking of changing her character a little. Something to make her more flexible, most notably making her "Reloading Quirks" passive work on any Counter Droplet exclusive Cube and not just Reload.
Who knows...? I've got a lot of stuff on my hands already.

Today's topic: Tilt erasure!
To prevent this from being the world's most boring devlog, I'm adding a little extra. Just gonna detail some balance changes that I've been making on the side.
You know, it's always so fun seeing people's screenshots of this game. I know, it's a shocker, but I LIKE seeing people discuss and post their opinions on the game. Even if it's negative, that means you're thinking with snow, and and that's all that matters!
But oh man, it felt like May was especially active. I see people making straight fodder of the bosses, getting to 10k+ health, like...man, how do y'all even do that?
I'm not really good at this game myself, so it's super funny. Keep cooking, Snow • Fall player base...
But enough is enough. It's time for Tilt to go.

I feel like I threw a lotta words at you without really showing anything of substance...ah, whatever! Slow month is a slow month!
