SNOTROCKET™ changes
A new update for SNOTROCKET™ is now available!
This update adds Marv, a new graphics option, improvements to the cure sequence, clearer objectives, new Dootie variants, and a large pile of fixes for multiplayer, ragdolls, interactions, Shippy, cryopods, and other deeply normal spaceship problems.
Thank you to everyone who has been playing, reporting bugs, and enduring catastrophic illness in the name of science.
New Features
Added Marv
Added a Render Scale option to the graphics settings
Gameplay Improvements
Improved ragdoll accuracy in multiplayer
Improved throwing accuracy when launching other players around the ship
Improved player interactions in multiplayer
Improved the stand-up animation after ragdolling
Improved Shippy behaviour
Random Shippy lines are now working properly again in multiplayer
Items that cannot be eaten can now be used again
Fixed a crash that could happen when completing the cure
Players can no longer enter the cure machine if they have already been cured
Fixed player immunity not displaying correctly for everyone
Fixed a late win issue with the syringe chairs
Fixed the cryopod ready-up sequence when playing multiple games in a row
Cure Machine Improvements
The cure machine sequence is now shown in third person
Only one player can use the cure machine at a time
Players can press interact again to exit the machine if it is not currently providing the cure
Leaving the cure machine now ejects the player with appropriate medical force
Once a player has been cured, they are ejected so the next unfortunate Snottian can enter
Cure Dooties are now removed from the cure screen once the cure has been created
New Cure Dooties can no longer be added after the cure has been created
Updated the cure monitor UI to show clearer information once the cure is ready
Updated the cure monitor font to better match the rest of the UI
Added new objective tracking for players who still need curing
Cured players are now crossed off the objective list
Objective Improvements
Added new objective states to make the current goal clearer
The objective header now updates depending on the current stage:
ENTER THE CRYOPODS
CURE DOOTIES
CURE ALL SNOTTIANS
Players are now added to the objective list during the cryopod ready-up sequence
Player names grey out when they are ready in a cryopod
If a player exits their cryopod, their name returns to normal
Player names are removed from the objective list when the match starts
If a player leaves while listed in the objectives, they are removed from the list
If a player joins during the lobby phase, they are added to the cryopod objective list
The ship Dootie objective list is now collapsed during the lobby phase
Dootie objectives are now handled more cleanly when several are completed close together
Ship and Dootie Changes
Ship light intensity now reduces as engine power drops below 35%
Engine alarms now trigger when engine power drops below 35%
The Lightbulb Dootie no longer breaks after successful completion
Adjusted the environment to improve Dootie engagement
Added new Dootie variants around the level
The Trash Compactor Dootie is now a two-player Dootie
The Trash Compactor Dootie still supports solo play if you are the only player
Removed police bots
Adjusted the tutorial bot so it now uses the point gesture and stands next to the tutorial panel
The tutorial bot is still removed when the match starts
UI Improvements
Adjusted software cursors so they work better across different resolutions
Updated the cure monitor UI with clearer information
Updated objective list behaviour during the cure, lobby, and ready-up phases
Improved objective strikethrough behaviour so it does not repeat unnecessarily
Fixes
Fixed ragdoll inaccuracies on clients
Fixed throwing players being less accurate than intended
Fixed incorrect stand-up animation orientation
Fixed interaction inaccuracies on clients
Fixed cryopod ready-up issues between consecutive games
Fixed several Shippy logic issues
Fixed random lines not playing correctly in multiplayer
Fixed items like the duck becoming unusable
Fixed a crash when completing the cure
Fixed cured players being able to re-enter the cure machine
Fixed immune state issues on clients
Fixed the late win issue on syringe chairs
