This update adds new audio, clearer objectives, more nonsense, better player feedback, and a big bag o' fixes for items, ragdolls, tasks, and the many many unfortunate things your fragile little peanut bodies are forced to endure.

Thank you to everyone who has been playing, reporting bugs, and making Shippy’s job way harder than it needs to be!

Audio

  • Added a new adaptive music system that changes based on how well, or how badly, the ship is doing

  • Added more sound effects for ship tasks and interactions

  • Added new sounds for the Vomitron

  • Added new eating sounds

  • Added more ambience throughout the ship

  • Added new sounds for inactive tasks

  • Added sound effects for the objectives menu

  • Added volume sliders for:

    • Music

    • Dialogue

    • Microphone

    • Master volume

  • Improved the overall audio mix

  • Updated various task and QTE sounds

Gameplay

  • Improved overall game balance

  • Added look inversion

  • Added Camera Sensitivy slider

  • Players can now eat items

  • Players can now feed other players

  • Players can now grab and throw other players

  • Improved singleplayer support for the Vomitron and Hamster Wheel

  • Ship lighting now changes based on Ship Happiness

  • Task penalties now build up more smoothly over time

  • Task timers are now easier to read at a glance

  • Improved how task icons update when something needs repairing

  • Improved Lightbulb task behaviour

  • Vomitron and Hamster Wheel progress is now shown as a clearer percentage

  • Adjusted sickness behaviour so players are less likely to ragdoll too early

UI

  • Updated various UI elements across the game

  • Added a new Objectives tab

  • Improved Cure objective text

  • Updated the ragdoll prompt so it shows the correct button

Multiplayer

  • Improved item behaviour in multiplayer

  • Improved held item behaviour between players

  • Improved item spawning

  • Improved ragdoll behaviour for clients

  • Improved how task animations appear for other players

  • Improved camera shake behaviour so it only affects the player using the Vomitron or Hamster Wheel

  • Improved online session behaviour after travelling between levels

  • Improved ending slide behaviour so voice chat can continue properly

Interaction

  • Fixed players sometimes getting stuck after using the syringe chair

  • Fixed the Vomitron and Hamster Wheel sometimes becoming unusable after being used once

  • Fixed the syringe chair, Vomitron, and Hamster Wheel sometimes becoming unusable after being ignored

  • Fixed some held items appearing at the wrong angle

  • Improved item placement when putting objects into machines

  • Improved soup bowl placement

  • Items held by another player now give clearer visual feedback when looked at

  • Fixed the unstuck button sometimes rotating players strangely

  • Fixed several cases where items could behave incorrectly when picked up, dropped, spawned, or placed

  • Improved Vomitron and Hamster Wheel usability in singleplayer

  • Fixed cases where these tasks could stop being interactable

  • Improved Vomitron visuals

  • Improved camera shake timing

  • Improved progress display clarity

  • Fixed some camera and view issues after using them

Misc Fixes

  • Improved collision across the map

  • Fixed some ragdoll issues around ship windows

  • Updated lavalamps across the ship

  • Fixed an engine animation issue
