addedHey guys today we have another huge update we’ve revamped the character select scene, added a brand new character, and we’ve increased the player limit up to 8 players.
addedFirst off the character select screen has been completely reworked. It should look a lot cleaner now and has been properly reworked to account for 8 players. Speaking of that, you can now play with up to 8 players which admittedly is a bit too chaotic for me which is why I've also added a option to choose how many players are allowed in your lobby. Along with this I've added a way for the host to kick players.
addedWe’re also introducing a new character set in the barn. This one’s a bit different as it really leans into making animal sounds rather than proper sentences. It’s definitely one of the more chaotic additions we’ve made so far and we’re excited to see how people play it.
changedThis update took a fair bit of work especially with the player count increase and reworking core UI elements like the character select. As always we’re still a small team so we really appreciate everyone’s patience and support while we keep building things out.
addedWe’re getting closer and closer to what we want the full game to look like and updates like this are a big step toward that. I also want to address why this update is off schedule, to be honest we've gotten to the point where we aren't really able to stick to scheduled updates anymore as it's too hard to estimate how long the features and content we want to add will take. We're a few updates away from full release at this point and I wanted to let you guys know they'll probably be fairly inconsistent timing wise. Don't worry though we're still dedicated and working everyday towards Smack Talks full release. Another thing I wanted to mention is that the price increase will probably happen on our next update we've locked in the increase and will be going from $5 cad to $8 cad. Thanks again for all the support and we’ll see you in the next one ːsteamhappyː.
