Improvements and changes

  • Better networking overall:

    • Very long games (1h30+) no longer start lagging.

    • Less data usage.

    • Better latency.

    • Better handling of packet loss.

    • Prevent some early disconnections when conditions are very bad (no responses for more than 10 seconds).

    • Better position synchronization when players explode or finish.

  • End scoreboard can be skipped instantly instead of holding the button

Additions

  • Added bounce to pencil's eraser.

  • Added sound when bouncing on the egg.

  • Added option for Time Trial ghost display. (default / player only / game only / none)

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed game lagging after playing for a long time with a lot of rounds (1-2+ hours)

  • Fixed car teleporting back and forth during spawning phases (when lagging).

  • Fixed a transition soft lock when a player has connection issues.

  • Fixed ghost reset not working sometimes (during race recap).

  • Fixed sand environment clipping in Taiga.

  • Fixed pause menu issues after quitting mid-game, then launching another (as a client).

  • Fixed pause menu losing focus when pressing a gamepad shoulder button.

  • Fixed lobby player count text overflowing.

  • Fixed selection cursor not hiding when disconnecting mid-game.

  • Fixed typos (french).

  • Other minor fixes.

I'm happy to finally put out this first update !

That means I'm back into making content instead of managing the release and stuff like that. Really eager to start adding more content and expand on those improvements now! Next update should come much sooner.
