Skate Rift changes
Online
Multiplayer has moved out of beta into the main game. The global server is connectable from the hub world. The gameserver is located in London but you should have an ok time anywhere in Europe or America. Thanks to those who came and tested!
Online changes during beta:
- added simple chat messages
- friends names show on the map
Hub World
The world system has been replaced with a hub world which lets you switch characters and boards out without losing your place in the worlds.
Regions
Courses can now be completed in silver or gold (no-rewinds) and count towards the region's total achievement. You can see the regions on the map or in the hub.
3 New Characters
A few new people join us including legendary old man skate legend John Cockroach.
Minor Changes (/full patch notes)
allow respawn when fallen over instead of only rewinding - world map now shows current lighting instead of grey - workshop maps show their preview image before you load them instead of point clouds - added practice world - added extra paths to Mt.Zero and Downtown maps - added stars to skybox shader - improved stability on hard landings sometimes throwing you off incorrectly - clamped grind speed glitch - re-added timing strips to the ui (+ gold segment status) - can sit down in the walking mode - removed invalid scores from highscore server - fixed freecam going wonky sometimes - added spark particle system for grinding in completed regions
