fixedHello Administrators,This hotfix covers crashes and bugs, but also some streamlining of the difficulty curve. This is mostly aimed at giving some breathing room to beginners. We’ve also alleviated the risk of you falling prey to an upkeep/doom spiral. Finally, we’ve adjusted the behaviour of Soul Dispatchers so they are less prone to blocking your Waiting Lines.

Hello Administrators,

Sintopia has been out for less than a week and we've seen a massive amount of players thoroughly enjoy themselves in the game's world and the inner workings of the hellish administration, and for that, we sincerely thank you, It fills our deviant hearts with pride to finally share the game with you all!

However, we are aware that the game has some quirks/issues that lead to difficulty rising faster than the player's learning curve. Consequently, some of you might have felt frustrated and "beaten down" or even worse, bad at the game, when in fact the game just needed to be a bit more chill.

This hotfix covers crashes and bugs, but also some streamlining of the difficulty curve. This is mostly aimed at giving some breathing room to beginners. We’ve also alleviated the risk of you falling prey to an upkeep/doom spiral. Finally, we’ve adjusted the behaviour of Soul Dispatchers so they are less prone to blocking your Waiting Lines.

These are just to help beginners and make sure the game doesn’t feel unfair. If you’re a Hard/Masochist player - rest assured the challenge will remain!

We have more updates in store to make the game the best it can be. This hotfix was for the most pressing/obvious matters. We’re only getting started: chop chop.

Find the patch notes below! I’ll see you all in Hell.

Full Patch Notes

Campaign

  • Mission 3Humus Sins are now capped at 80 during the first objective. This limit is removed when the demon’s features comes live in the second part of the mission.
  • Mission 3The Corruption Stone’s cool down before it corrupts a new Humu has been increased by 20%
  • Mission 4The number of Zhumbies added to each night’s wave has been reduced.
  • Mission 5The starting strength of Guaca raids has been reduced by 20%
  • Mission 7Fixed a bug where the Guacasurus meat could drop in the water and not be picked up, preventing progression in the map.
  • All Campaign MissionsIncreased the hearos limit by 10 in Easy/Normal difficulties.

Sandbox Mode

  • Fixed a bug where the settings would not be properly restored when saving and loading a game, leading to incorrect gameplay conditions (such as the “Hearosable” Sin-O-Meter threshold equal to 0).

Souls Dispatcher

  • Changed the behaviour of the Souls Dispatcher as follows: If a Soul is waiting in the Dispatcher because it’s target building is occupied, and other Souls need to enter the Dispatcher, the Soul will be sent forward to their exit lane, and the spot will be freed. This reduces the number of situations where Souls would clog in front of the Dispatcher.

  • Omnisin Doctor Upkeep has been changed from 500 to 400 Purgadollars.

  • 7D Omnisin Doctor Upkeep has been changed from 2000 to 1500 Purgadollars.

  • Imployees Upkeep has been lowered by 20% for level 3, 4 and 5.

  • The Humus Priest’s Pride gain overtime has been reduced by 10%

  • The Doctors/Health-focused Ruler Personality now favours more soldiers and less Merchants.

  • Fixed a bug where a bright VFX could linger on screen after a demon had spawned and landed.

  • Fixed a bug where Humus would have troubles removing resource buildings ruins to start anew, making it sometimes very long for their civilization to recover after everything has been destroyed.

General

  • Fixed various bugs which could cause the game to crash and stop.
