Welcome!
Ive been wanting to re add lighting to the scene for a while but it is expensive. Ive had to make room for it and i hope that the version will be stable. I do have a saved back up of 1.5.3 so if it sucks i can always revert it back. Here's the list of things i did
Added lighting and shadows. scene is now more on track with original idea of a sunset warm feel.
Expanded outer boundary, currently there is just trees. like....waddo u put in a forest that's odot themed?
Plans to redo the cabins and add furniture
removed 50 objects from scene and merged some non necessary components to squeeze out FPS.
consolidated some materials and reduced texture size. removed unconnected emissions nodes with little effect.
removed physics glitch from bulletin board. it caused massive lag spikes when touching it.
reworked bullet physics to try to help lag spikes, it somewhat helped....somewhat...caused other issues.
there's a new glitch where signs sometimes don't get shot, i kind of like this though its not annoying it adds some wholesome chaos. its because if the targets are not hit on their post it will not kill them. ACCURACY! (cuz of bullet rework)
the night shift is not how i want it. currently it is just a filter that becomes visible over the camera when Difficulty 5 is triggered. My original idea (and exist in previous versions) is for a dense fog to roll in and for the scene lights to dim and become red like toxic exhaust. Perhaps this is the update to try and re-add the fog and animate the lighting to match original ideas?
This will not be released for a bit as I'm still working on it and collecting feedback. the current version is stable and that's worth more than content updates, although I've managed to get my system up to 57fps and 40fps during lag spikes.
