addedThe Interface has gotten a few new things. A few notes first:In the old version every color needed to be somewhat unique so the colortheme and underlying performance optimisations could quickly identify parts of the ship, this has been stripped completely , colors can now be 100% identical across the theme sections of the ship
changedThe Interface has gotten a few new things. A few notes first:there is no labels yet, but that is mostly about localization cost and the UI still evolving, but the final version will have labels
fixedThe Interface has gotten a few new things. A few notes first:The color wheel also contained a bunch of bugs , hopefully these are now all addressed and it should behave consistently
addedNew Stuff!planking, rivets and strut controls, New procedural planking has been adding adding a lot more detail to wooden ships. And you can now control the rivets, the struts and other greeblies, and even mix them with that set of sliders
changedNew Environmental controlsthe center button toggles a storm

Hi everyone, this one took a little longer but a big new update is finally here.. Lets go thru all the stuff: Steam post image

The Interface has gotten a few new things. A few notes first:

  1. In the old version every color needed to be somewhat unique so the colortheme and underlying performance optimisations could quickly identify parts of the ship, this has been stripped completely , colors can now be 100% identical across the theme sections of the ship

  2. there is no labels yet, but that is mostly about localization cost and the UI still evolving, but the final version will have labels

  3. The color wheel also contained a bunch of bugs , hopefully these are now all addressed and it should behave consistently

New Stuff!

  • Decking controls directly to the right of the color wheel, these are now independent and you can change the angle, size and spacing of the decking

  • planking, rivets and strut controls, New procedural planking has been adding adding a lot more detail to wooden ships. And you can now control the rivets, the struts and other greeblies, and even mix them with that set of sliders

Putting those planks and, rivets and more consistent color controls to use.

Environmental controls , storm effects and new buoyancy algorithm.

Steam post image making a splash

New Environmental controls

  • The inner radial controls the time of day

  • The up and down arrow control the location

  • the outer arrow controls the wind/wave direction and strength, rotate and stretch

  • the center button toggles a storm

  • The environment view also has gotten a first iteration of water splashes when the waves hit the hull

  • the ships have a new more scientific buoyancy system, you can now make the waves go over the hull in a storm, but that should be more proper to the size of the waves.

  • the sails now respond to the wind and are dynamic and no longer cosmetic

The amount of new content is slightly less, there are a few minor items and the rigging has been made much more robust with multiple sprits and rear sprits now an option. There is also a new mast that extends differently and some more refined and accurate rigging. you can get a lot more creative and weird with the masts.. Ooh and there are also a variety of stability and performance fixes and a bunch of bugs I forgot to write down. Let me know if something is out of order so I can fix. Enjoy, Tomas
