removedWAITING…….. WAITING……Steam post imageSteam post imageSteam post image Playing an illegal move in multiplayer as a guest will no longer result in waiting….wating… as the game tries to send your move to the server > players > server > you. This delay was causing a 2-5 second delay in cards being played in multiplayer games.
changedWAITING…….. WAITING……We’ve been able to implement a really small gate that prevents clients from sending illegal moves to the server, significantly speeding up those pauses some have experienced in multiplayer.
changedANIMATIONSGuests of multiplayer lobbies have now been deemed worthy by the code and will now get all of the in game animations.

We’ve been able to implement a really small gate that prevents clients from sending illegal moves to the server, significantly speeding up those pauses some have experienced in multiplayer.

ANIMATIONS

The code was reading some guests as non-human players, and decided it wasn’t worth playing the card deal, pick up, play, and burn animations.

Guests of multiplayer lobbies have now been deemed worthy by the code and will now get all of the in game animations.

This makes it easier to see when cards have been played/burned/picked up so you get a visual queue when it’s your turn.

We’re continuing to make these small quality of life improvements to SHED, particularly in multiplayer, so if you spot anything you think is a bug (pr something that can be improved) please let us know – either comment below or report a bug on our community discussion page.
