This update completely overhauls the back-end netcode of the game. In our testing, rubberbanding and desync have been DRASTICALLY reduced. The FPS limit has also been removed now. We've also spent some time squashing a ton of bugs - including year-old ones!

  • Reworked ability system to be lag-resistant. Really, try it! Because this is such a massive change, there may be some

  • FINALLY FIXED a year-old issue where the bolt-actions can get "stuck" on high-latency environments

  • Fixed mech weapons not firing when you first embark in them

  • Destruction now made much more reliable - when using explosives, you should almost always expect destruction to occur

  • We are making lots of adjustments to the controller aim assist, we will be tweaking the values based on data - please be patient with us on this!

  • Movement should be feel lower latency, and much more optimised in high-player lobbies

Anti Cheat Updates

The ShatterRush Open Pre-Alpha is now trialing Easy Anti Cheat as our security provider for the game. Recent improvements to Easy Anti Cheat have sufficiently increased the protection provided to the point where we now feel comfortable in using it for this project.

I can confirm that ShatterRush's implementation of Easy Anti Cheat fully works on Linux/SteamOS, I have been testing it on my Steam Deck OLED with no issues. As this is done via Proton, no extra setup is necessary. Please let us know if you run into any problems with it. Thank you for your support in helping us fight against cheaters!

What's Next? New Maps and Modes!

  • We have finalized the layout for our AAA-designed map Fusion and will begin adding destruction to it soon. Get hyped!

  • Based on your feedback on Discord, Instagram and Tiktok, we will be adding the most requested modes: Gun Game and Capture the Flag! Expect these modes very soon... :)

This is a MASSIVE update, so please be sure to report any issues you have. Thank you all for your support, have fun! GG!
