Shattered Heaven changes
It’s time for Gameplay and Mechanics!
Today we want to talk about progression and power ups. It’s very important to provide a sense of constant evolution during the game, we know it - that’s why we are putting extra care in our Character Growth system.
Make sure to properly explore the Equinox Cathedral - the main hub of the game - and check out all the ways to further empower our Ashram champions!
The first one is Cards, of course! Namely, we are talking about Hero Cards, so cards that are specific to each of our player characters - they are tailored around their mechanics and keywords, and will always be available to you when you are building your decks.
Every time you come back to the Cathedral after a successful mission, you’ll unlock a brand-new set of powerful Hero Cards varying in skills, rarity and cost. Don't be afraid to try different, unexpected combinations: it might hold the key to Victory!
Coming back victorious will also grant you 1 Skill Point per character.
These precious resources will be spent in the Talents section to grant powerful active and passive abilities. You will also be able to improve your basic stats such as maximum HP and Shields. You can also save loadouts and reset skill points with no costs attached!
And last but not least, we have the Dark Forge!
Here is where you will unlock a variety of helpful perks, such as improving the effectiveness of your healing items, adding extra slots for rare cards in your deck and so on!
These upgrades are extremely impressive and can only be obtained with Dark Bones.
This currency is strictly related to the most difficult challenges you can face in the game - at the start of a dungeon you will be able to select special conditions like “Armor gained in this depth is halved”: this will reward you with a higher number of Dark Bones compared to other easier challenges (or no challenges selected at all). This doesn’t mean you will never obtain Dark Bones if you plan to play the game at normal difficulty - but the more you dare, the more you will be rewarded!
