Shards of the Heart changes
A new update for the Shards of the Heart demo is now live!
Over the past few days, I’ve been going back through the game from the beginning and revising a large amount of dialogue and character interactions to better match the tone and direction of the story. A lot of scenes have been rewritten to feel more natural, emotional, and grounded, especially during the earlier parts of the game.
Some of the changes include: • Revised dialogue and character interactions • Improved character tone and relationship progression • Updated scenes throughout Chapter 1 • Various polish and writing improvements • Music replacements and soundtrack integration by Eeelize
I’m also very excited to announce that the official Shards of the Heart soundtrack will be available for purchase on June 15! All sales will go to supporting Eeelize and her music.
A huge thank you to Eeelize for composing music for the game. The new tracks have helped shape the atmosphere of Shards in a way that means a lot to me, and I’m really happy to finally start integrating more of the soundtrack into the demo.
Thank you again to everyone playing the demo, wishlisting the game, and supporting the project while it continues to evolve. It genuinely helps more than you know.
Steam Next Fest begins June 15, and I’m looking forward to continuing work on the game leading up to it.
