addedAfter 6 months, I've finally finished updating all of the sprites and animation for Samael. He now has much cleaner looking graphics and animations overall. He also has an Ascended form that activates over level 24 when your stamina and health are low.
changedShe has more roll and air dodge distance, more natural stamina regeneration, and a much faster power-up stamina regeneration as well. Her grab lunges her forward a bit, is open longer, and she has rapid hits that deal minor damage when she grabs an opponent. Her Air Smashes deactivate her flight, and her Air Up Smash pushes her up a little bit as she strikes, and a little more if the attack connects.
addedShe also now has a counter, which can be activated by holding block and pressing the heavy attack button. (The top one, triangle on Playstation and Y on Xbox gamepads). If she is hit during this time, she will block it and immediately do a counter attack like all of the other blade wielding characters.

I'm also currently working on updating Hazel. In this patch, she has a better run, jump, and double jump animation. Much more are coming soon. She also has a lot of minor buffs overall.

If you have any issues with visuals, save files, or any other sort of weird bug, then it might be due to changes in the save file function. You will have to go to C:\Users\(Your name here)\AppData\Local\Shadow_of_Azrael_2 and then either move or delete the .dat and .sav save files that exist there. That should fix any major problems you have.
