Early Access Launch Date

I am excited to announce that Shadow Eclipse is entering early access on 3/23/2024!

After releasing 20 patches to the Shadow Eclipse Playtest and Demo over the past two-ish years of solo development, I feel Shadow Eclipse is in a state where it will benefit greatly from early access.

My main goal is that the early access process will bring stronger feedback, criticism, and engagement from interested players during the rest of development. Feedback from playtesters has already immensely shaped the game - THANK YOU.

I expect there to be about 2 more years of development work at my current pace before Shadow Eclipse will be fully released. For my tentative roadmap I will be focusing on: spell upgrades and build diversity, challenging boss fights, enemy variety especially in the mid and late game stages, level diversity, and lastly overall story and metagame content.

For players who do not want to join early access, I am committed to continuously releasing new versions of the free demo. The demo will contain up-to-date early game content and patches, but limit each run to level 5 after the duo boss fight.
