Seven Cities v0.2.0 — Syncfall Update Now Live

We’ve just launched the biggest update to Seven Cities yet. The Syncfall update introduces the first chapter of the campaign, new systems, skills, enemies, and a complete overhaul of the passive system. If you've had a chance to play, we'd be grateful if you left an honest review. Your feedback helps us continue improving the game and shape what comes next.

⚠️Note: Existing save files will be reset due to major system changes and incompatibility.

New Content and Features

Chapter 1: Campaign Launch

  • The first chapter of the Seven Cities story is now available, including 15 narrative-driven main quests that lay the foundation of the ARPIX simulation.

  • Each level of the chapter 1 of the campaign has been updated and improved.

  • Also each level has their own dedicated pool of enemies.

  • Add a waypoint system to travel better and faster

New Character Skins

Four new character skins are available:

  • The Tech Nerd

  • The Specialist

  • The Salesman

  • The Oracle

Character Customization

Players can now change the colors of their character’s clothing and accessories during character creation.

New Endgame Mode: Syncfall

Unlocked at level 60, Syncfall introduces extraction shooter mechanics to the hack-and-slash core. This is a high-risk, high-reward mode designed for experienced players.

Mailbox System

Loot left behind during missions will now be sent to your mailbox if your inventory is full, reducing item loss during gameplay.

Leak System

Rework and update of the leak system, that does apply buff and debuff on specific damage like DOT from elemental damage. It's exacly like to ailment on other games A youtube video and steam & discord post dedicated on this will be publised later this week.

Passive System Overhaul

The passive system has been completely reworked. Starting at level 2, players now receive dedicated passive points. The new interface is modular and tier-based, encouraging more meaningful build paths.

  • 23 new passive modules have been added

  • Over 200 passive abilities are now available

  • Several new mechanics introduced through major passives

Level Cap Increased

The maximum player level has been increased from 60 to 70.

New Skills

Two new skills have been added: Teleport – Instantly move to the position of your mouse cursor. Includes 4 specialization nodes. Server Tempest – Summon a tornado of energy that deals area damage. Includes 10 specialization nodes.

Additional skills will be added gradually over the next 14 days.

New Enemy Types

Five new enemy types are now live:

  • Holographic Bear

  • Holographic Tiger

  • Healer Robot

  • Syphon Guardian

  • Explosive Guardian

Interface and Visual Improvements

  • Ground item visuals reworked for easier visibility and interaction

  • Equipment names now indicate their intended build paths

  • Enemy health bars updated to clearly show rarity

  • New character skill panel shows attached specialization nodes

  • Robot passives can now be changed without altering form

  • Launch screen and main camp visuals updated

  • HUD scaling improved in the options panel

  • Activity difficulty levels are now more clearly labeled

  • Improved UI responsiveness and performance

  • Increased number of enemies on each map

  • Improved localisation

Balance Adjustments

  • Damage increased for several weapons

  • Magazine size increased for select guns

  • Shotgun fire rate reduced slightly

  • Fixes and System Updates

  • Fixed display issue with hardcore mode selection

  • Fixed minimap scaling bug on Madison for resolutions above 1080p

  • Fixed tutorial display issues across maps and Engineers

  • Added a backup system to recover potentially corrupted save data

  • General performance and UI optimizations across the board

  • Improve localisation

  • Adding more detail on stat description

Sound design

Add and update sound design on weapons, skill, environment to improve impact and ambiance.

🛠️ New Systems & Features

💌 Mailbox System

You now receive forgotten or uncollected items from activities in your mailbox, preventing loot loss when your backpack is full.

📈 Level Cap Increase

The maximum player level has been increased from 60 to 70.

💥 Syncfall Game Mode

Unlocked at level 60, this new endgame mode mixes extraction shooter mechanics with Hack & Slash gameplay. Beware in this new game mode you can loose your equipped stuff. We encourage you to use all the mechanics available on syncfall mode to get the best of it. 🛠️Tailored Craft Browsing the syncfall game mode you will loot blueprints that will allow you to craft items 100% tailored.

🧠 Items

  • 10 new set equipment pieces introduced

  • 30+ new items to loot and equipped on electronic device slots

  • Electronic device are unlocked step by step : HardDrive, Motherboard and nanocells are now lootable from level 8 and level 15 players will loot RAM and USB Keys items

  • More legendary and unique items will be added throughout the 14-day Steam promotion.

🌀 Passive System Rework

✅ Complete Overhaul

  • Previously, specialization points could be allocated in four trees: Weapon, Special, Outsider, and Robot.

  • Now, starting at level 2, you unlock dedicated passive points for a completely revamped passive system.

  • The new passive panel is organized into modular tiers, requiring investment in earlier tiers to unlock advanced ones.

  • 23 new passive modules with over 200 unique passive abilities have been added, many introducing new mechanics.

🔁 Reworks & Interface Improvements

🧾 Interface

  • Revamped ground item display: easier visibility and interaction.

  • Equipment items now show names indicating their build orientation.

  • Updated enemy health bar visuals to better show rarity and threat level.

  • Improved skill detail panel with clearer specialization visibility.

  • Visual update of the game launch scene.

  • Overhaul of the main camp layout.

  • Robot passives can now be changed without changing the robot’s form via a dedicated button.

🗺️ HUD & UI Improvements

  • Improved scaling of the HUD via the options panel.

  • Enhanced Engineer icons on the minimap in the main camp.

  • Clearer display of activity difficulty levels.

  • General UI performance optimizations and visual upgrades.

  • Increased the number of enemies per map.

🧪 Balancing

Multiple weapons have been rebalanced:

  • Increased base damage

  • Increased magazine size for several guns

  • Reduced the fire rate of the shotgun and improve animation

🛠️ Fixes & misc

  • Fixed display issues when selecting hardcore mode during character creation

  • Fixed minimap scaling bug on Madison for resolutions above 1080p

  • Fixed tutorial display issues across various maps during activities

  • Fixed tutorial-related display bugs involving Engineers

  • Added a backup system in case of corrupted items during saves

  • Improve raycast on unnecessary UI

  • Increase duration of speell boost from 3 to 4 sec
