Hello, Catalysts! A good bunch of you have cleared NG+ now. Good to see it! There were a bunch of reports of friends lists having some weirdness when it hits the limit. Along with fixing that, I made the file compress the same way others do, which means I can afford to increase the friends limit without changing the file size! Yay!

MENUS:

  • Increased the friend limit to 125. Have fun!

  • Fixed the friends list getting all weird if you hit the limit.

  • Fixed recently-added friends forgetting they're already in town if the game is restarted.

PROGRESSION:

  • In sidequest 6, fixed an NPC saving incorrectly if the game closes during a crucial moment.

BUILDINGS:

  • Fixed the giant pillar in NG+ being highlighted as buildable when you can't afford it.

  • The brewery now shows that materials can be put into it when you hover over them.

TECHNICAL STUFF:

  • Applied some compression to the friends file. This shouldn't affect anything on your end but I'm writing it down anyway.

  • Queued up savefiles now set the saving cooldown immediately to prevent a potential frame-perfect double-save. MAYBE that fixes the freezing i've seen people get? We'll have to investigate further to figure out what's causing this.
