Serial World changes
Hi, everyone! 👋
We hope you've been enjoying the demo for Serial World, and are having fun learning more about Milo, the Anima, and their mysterious world!
We've loved seeing you explore the first dungeon, give characters silly voices on-stream, and knock out some stellar combat strategies, and we're so grateful for all of the feedback we've received - either in Steam reviews or the in-game demo survey!
With that in mind, we have some exciting news...
Serial World's demo just received its first update! 🎉
Thanks to your thoughtful suggestions, we've been able to make the demo an even better experience for players both new and familiar!
Here's what to expect in the update:
🐛 Bug Fixes
Fixed an issue where Milo would unintentionally stop moving or get stuck during gameplay. Now you can run (and roll!) freely to your heart’s desire!
Fixed an issue where if you defeated an enemy by rapidly and randomly pressing buttons during battle, the game would freeze instead of proceeding to the results screen.
Fixes an issue where an error occurs when using skill cards with the “Reflect” effect (such as Martalon’s “Feather Arrow”) to attack an opponent.
Fixed an issue where activating a skill that drew cards while "Wish for Resurrection" cards were in your hand would sometimes cause more "Wish for Resurrection" cards to appear in your hand. (Sorry, no more hacking the system!)
Fixed an issue where skill enhancements were not reflected in the post-EVO version of the skill card.
Fixed an issue where the "Delete Usage Count" option did not function correctly during the Spraybull NPC encounter event.
Fixed an issue where the cost of "Renda" decreased by 2 when "Science of Growth" skill card was activated.
Fixed an issue with some of Embro's animations.
🌟 Quality of Life Improvements
Added an icon on the dungeon mini-map to indicate the exit that leads to the next area. (Pretty exit-citing stuff! Ba-dum-tss. 🥁)
Lowered the AP cost of various cards to allow for easier strategizing and usage.
Increased status effect features of various cards (Scale, Shield, etc.) to allow for easier strategizing and usage.
Added additional tooltips to certain skill cards.
Improved the display of tooltips for certain skill cards.
Improved the responsiveness of the skill card list when using keyboard and mouse controls.
When the Danger Level reaches a certain threshold, the area's atmosphere now changes to reflect the situation. (Spooky...)
Porcupint’s "Critical" and Special Badge effects are now reflected in the description values of skill cards in advance.
Added additional FX to some skills.
Post-EVO skills are now viewable in the skills list.
Skills can now be used more smoothly during battles.
Improved damage feedback during battles.
