Hello everyone! The SELINI demo just got a fresh update and I'm sharing with you the most important changes.

New Features & Additions

  • Added "Whistle" ability to interact with some NPCs.

  • Introduced a studio logo splash screen.

  • Integrated FMOD splash screen for first-time players.

  • Replaced some music files with higher quality versions.

  • Added more Occularus (bad guy) activity in the world.

  • Implemented new teleport shortcuts via a Black Hole in one room.

  • Companions (shooters) now emit a sound when caught.

Gameplay Improvements

  • With a Charged Flash (charged main attack), power cells now briefly recharges their lamp.

  • Power cells deactivate a lamp in the world when their energy is collected.

  • Improved the falling sequence at the end of the demo.

  • Removed Faber (map-revealing robot) from one room and replaced it with a power cell.

  • Larger UI elements for better visibility on Steam Deck.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a critical bug where the game would freeze after deleting a save slot.

  • Resolved an issue where cannon projectiles could pass through walls.

  • Fixed a problem where the logo would reappear every time the player died.

  • Addressed an exploit where quitting the game after encountering Occularus could leave the player stuck.

  • Corrected NPC behavior in the first save room. They now exit through the door (not the wall) and their footsteps no longer persist after leaving.

  • Fixed keyboard input issues in the menu.

  • Resolved a minor respawn misplacement issue in one room.

  • Fixed an issue where the ability icon wouldn’t appear when revealing a target on the map.

Audio & Visual Enhancements

  • Added atmospheric sounds to select rooms.

  • Fine-tuned footsteps sounds for better immersion.

  • Optimized lights and meshes in several scenes.

  • Improved graphics in certain rooms.

Content Adjustments

  • Removed confusing intro scenes based on player feedback.
