SELINI changes
Hello everyone!
Version 0.4.0 is now live alongside the Steam Summer Sale.
This update focuses on improving the early-game experience, expanding the world, and making some of SELINI's hidden story elements available much earlier in the journey.
New Story & Lore
Added a new Comic Pages menu tab that can be unlocked through exploration. Collect comic pages scattered throughout SELINI to uncover more of the world's hidden story.
The Tablet can now be obtained much earlier in the game.
Added 4 new poems. Discover them throughout your journey and glimpse the thoughts, fears and hopes of the people who once lived in SELINI.
World Expansion
Added 8 new rooms.
Reworked several exploration routes and black hole connections.
Removed a number of older black hole shortcuts that are now replaced by new areas and paths.
Added additional dying Fabers to better guide exploration and discovery.
Gameplay & Puzzles
Added new puzzles to the first hour of the game.
Added a Companion (Shooter) before the Forest boss encounter.
Improved exploration flow across several areas.
Visuals & Audio
Created new camera shake behaviours.
Camera shake options have been temporarily removed from the menu as the effect is now much more subtle.
Updated music triggered in a specific late-game event.
Reworked menu sounds for greater consistency.
Improvements & Fixes
Menu tabs (such as the Map) now appear as unlockable slots that are discovered during gameplay.
Optimized lights and meshes in multiple rooms.
Fixed an issue causing a specific enemy to respawn after being defeated.
Various UI, menu and quality-of-life improvements.
UPDATED THE DEMO ACCORDINGLY.
