SELF MADE: Investment Life Sim changes
New Game Mode
- "Margin Call" Hard ModeWe’ve introduced a new difficulty system! You can now choose between "Arcade" (default) and "Margin Call" at character creation. Margin Call turns up the heat with slower market growth, higher loan rates, harsher legal penalties, tighter victory thresholds, and more frequent black swan events.
Bug Fixes
Property Sale Exploit: Patched an exploit where selling investment properties paid out the gross property value without deducting the outstanding mortgage. It now correctly calculates and pays out the net proceeds (sale price minus remaining mortgage principal).
- Down Payment DisplayFixed an issue where 25% and 50% financing options appeared even if your credit score required a higher minimum down payment. These options are now properly hidden if the required credit percentage exceeds that tier.
- Liquidation Screen InputFixed a bug where the liquidation popup wasn't blocking background input. It is now exclusive, preventing clicks from passing through and getting players stuck.
- Dating Hours ValidationFixed an issue where [c]set_dating_plan()[/c] allowed negative free time. We've also added a live "Free hours: X hrs/month" label to the dating slider so you can easily track your available time.
UI Updates
Pause Menu Rewrite: Completely rebuilt the pause menu from scratch into a single exclusive Window. This replaces the old system of spawning child confirm dialogs and eliminates those frustrating z-ordering issues where prompts rendered behind the menu.
- Education Time CommitmentsAdded explicit hour costs to each interaction slider (e.g., "Take shopping & outings (20 hrs/mo)"). We also added a free hours display on the elementary and high school education popups so you know the exact time commitment before making a choice.
Closing Thoughts
We really value your feedback and are always reading your suggestions. We'll remain vigilant in updating the game to ensure the best possible player experience!
