Back from the holidays

This is my first update here on Steam. I’m back from my holiday break, during which I took some time to actually play games and make a dent in the ever growing backlog I’ve accumulated.

changedI’m a solo developer, and keeping everything updated across multiple platforms can feel like a job of its own. I tend to post more regularly over on the Discord thing, so I won’t be listing every recent change here. Instead, I’ll focus on the most recent updates and give a bit of insight into what I’m currently working on.
addedMy goal is for this game to be more than a standard horror experience with a few puzzles sprinkled throughout. One of the core mechanics is time management, and that adds an extra layer of complexity when implementing new interesting things. Your lantern is directly tied to your survival, so keeping it lit is critical but, I don’t want that to be the only thing on your mind. Finding the right balance there has been a challenging problem to work through.
addedAdded - Steam achievements.
addedAdded - Steam cloud saves.
addedAdded - Levers (multi purpose).
addedAdded - Lever puzzle functions.

At the moment, my main focus is a fire system. In short: yes, you can burn things. Alongside that, I’ve been spending a lot of time on level design and creating interactive assets to populate the world and make it feel more dynamic and interesting.

I plan to post updates here more regularly going forward. I hope everyone enjoyed some time away from the usual routine, I wish you all the best and thanks for taking the time to check in on the project.
