SculptrVR changes
I didn't post an announcement for the previous three big updates, so I've rolled all 4 update notes into one here!
New major features:
Apply mesh simplification on meshes outside of arm's reach. This enables (up to) 2x visible detail in large worlds!
Can now browse the online gallery by "Newest" or "Popular"!
Can now view your own online saves in the gallery to know what you have in each of your 5 online slots!
Player heads are now editable in multiplayer! Sculpt on eachother's heads in real time or shoot eachother with rockets!
You now have 5 head save slots to keep all your favorite avatars ready to go!
New Prompt Generator Tool pops up a random sculpture suggestion for when you get stumped or want to play "Sculptionary"!
Menu refactor: There's no longer a back-of-the-hand menu. It's all done with tabs on the front of the hand!
Added a basketball! This is a networked ball that can be tossed around between players in multiplayer, or shot with rockets!
Now you can place a point light into your sculpture to add lighting to your creation!
You can now change the color of the sun/sky by selecting a color while holing the SkyGrab Pointer!
Other Improvements:
Stamp menu is now less confusing (hopefully).
Players joining a multiplayer game now don't get sculpting tools until after receiving the sculpture.
Undo leaving player's actions popup now has a different look than the save reminder popup to prevent accidental habitual 'yes' clicks.
Automatically check for multiplayer games on startup to increase the chances of finding games.
Dotted box appears around head sculptures when your tool is nearby to show that head is editable.
Added a "repair head" button in the avatar menu so you can regenerate your head after getting shot by rockets.
The "no internet" popup shouldn't appear during brief internet hiccups anymore
Explore mode is no longer a seperate mode. Explore tools are simply selectable in your tools list.
Multiplayer Host/Join are joined into one menu.
If you want to disable grip movement, that is in the settings now.
Rockets now fire attached to the sculpture so that all players see the rockets hit the same location even when moving sculptures around.
Add the Liv plugin for mixed reality.
Can now permanently dismiss the save reminder popup.
You can now zoom in and out with the camera tool.
Camera now shows you a display in selfie mode so you can line up photos.
Speed up loading from disk by 20%, and use less memory doing so.
Reduced compute expense of carving particles by 20%.
Prevent the user from accidentally changing tools while in the middle of a brush stroke.
When you open the reference images panel the first time, it now places a text file in the SculptrVR reference image folder to help people find the correct location.
Export finding instruction now show up on a panel that sticks around until dismissed. Instructions have been made more more clear.
Multiplayer panel improved and now shows a picture of your avatar when openned.
Bug Fixes:
Hovering over the current tool now always opens up the horizontal menu
Fixed a bug that would erroneously report "internet connection lost"
Fixed bug where voxel cube brush would delete a little bit beyond its bounds
Save reminders now work for everyone in multiplayer, not just the host
Layer panel now works correctly in multiplayer for clients
Fix Various head-related network bugs
The floor now stays at the appropriate ground level when loading a new procedural scene
Fix particles sometimes getting their rotation
